Is this the right way to deal with this?

A guy who was an illigeal ran a stop sign and hit an older couple. He didnt stop .He than drove the buss. truck to his work place were he hide out for a few hours with cops guns drawn his employer talked him into coming out. The couple had been married for over 40yrs. The lady was ok after a while but the man had a slow bleed in his brain that led to stroke like affect on his left side. The man is not going tto get full use back.....The whole debait was the judge thought that 2 - 4 in prison was to harsh? That leaving the car there and not stopping was the resolt of the mans health getting worse? The as hl just wanted to be sent back home to live his life while the old guy would never be the same.ok so he never had got in to trouble before but he had been in the us for over5yrs.wthot trying for statice. He got 12mths with 70days good time and before he can be deported has go before the judge again. 1 more ? the boss of the guy is a big bus. man.Shld he gt in trbl?

Is this the right way to deal with this?
This is horrible! So they deport the illegal and he's back in a week. This is not justice!

The employer should be in jail too. He broke the law by hiring the illegal. If employers go to jail for hiring illegals, the job market dries up and they self-deport. That's justice.
Reply:I thought illegals who committed felonies were deported? Oh - what am I thinking - we don't deport anybody!
Reply:Not only should the illegal have gotten a larger prison sentence. His employer should of faced a huge fine and jail time for being an accessory to a crime.

These peoples lives are ruined forever because an illegal who shouldnt of been driving in the first place ran them over.

Edit- for the guy a couple comments below me. Yes there are legal americans who commit crimes and get off easy. This guy however shouldnt have been here in the first place, he is not LEGAL and he could not have had a legal license nor was he employed legally.
Reply:this is for all the people that ask this same question over and over about illegals.....they are not the only ones driving without anything...look at this guy he is an american and all he got was a ticket for maslaughter

Reply:and you didn't say a word about the citizen who was suspended hitting and killing a homeless man and getting off scott free with no jail time so now why insist on jail time? These people didn't die. He should not have gotten any time since the US citizen got off with only a traffic infraction when he murdered a homeless man with his truck and he wasn't even insured.

I live in Mexico on 90 day visa's I was told I need to leave the country before I can start filing for a new 1

I have been living in Mexico for the last 7 months.I am a american and I dont have a job so I can't get any other visa. I have returned to the states once allready and after returning you are allowed get an extension a couple times only. I was told if I went to Belize for the day and returned back to Mexico that would start my Visa statice all over.

I live in Mexico on 90 day visa's I was told I need to leave the country before I can start filing for a new 1
hello,

i assume you are in playa or in cancun.your existing visa can be extended up to 180 days in total at the immigration office.the only requirement is an international major credit card in your name or a certain amount of cash to show.(i think it is a 1000U$ per 30 days).they don't charge anything...you only show it.they want to make sure you are able to live on your own for that period of time.in playa they are located in "plaza antigua",second floor (at the entrance to playacar).in cancun they are at the corner of avenida uxmal and avenida nader.very close to av.tulum and the bus-station.after that 180 days there are no further extensions possible and you have to leave the country.no big deal...go to the border to belize into the free-zone...go shopping,go to the casino and come back with a new visa and start all over again.

greetings,

cancundivers

sorry for any misspelling.....i'm german
Reply:Yes, if you leave the country for whatever amount of days Mexico requires, you start off with a new visa each time you enter Mexico. This is not an extension, but starts the clock all over again.
Reply:Sounds like you need to go to the immigration office and apply for an Fm3...costs about $143.00, need to renew it once a year IN MEXICO at nearest immigration office...much better than constantly going to the border to renew the tourist visa. To get an FM3 you must prove you have enough income from a pension or something to live on in Mexico. i am an Ameican living in Veracruz. Most retired Americans have an FM3. however i do know some who have lived here for years and go back to the border every 6 months to renew their tourist visa...but what a nuisance.
Reply:just stay there illegally...fair is fair...one illegal American in Mexico...11 million illegal Mexicans in America

If we had a atomic bomb before Germany surrendered would we have used it against them?

Some people have said that we used the bomb on Japan and not Germany because of raceism. Japan is a non-white country. Were they seen as somhow lower in statice then Germans?

If we had a atomic bomb before Germany surrendered would we have used it against them?
No, we used the bomb on Japan because it was apparent that they were not going to surrender. When we looked at what it would cost in human lives to invade the Japanese home islands, we decided to use the bomb and see if that would induce Japan to surrender.

After using the first bomb, Japan held firm, and since we had two bombs available, we dropped the other. At this point, Japan surrendered.

As for Germany, we probably wouldn't have since we were invading from the west and Russia was invading from the east, it was pretty apparent that we could take Germany with acceptable losses.
Reply:so japan surrendered first? Report It

Reply:one word.....

YES!
Reply:The Germans certainly thought so! They had to give the Japanese a special exemption to be considered 'legally Aryan'!

However, the more likely explanation is that we simply were not able to prepare a weapon that fast. The technology was in its infancy back then, and we are lucky that it worked at all.

We certainly didn't hesitate to use other weapons of mass effect on the Germans. Consider Dresden, a beautiful city, bombed to saturation with incendiaries, causing even stone to reduce to powder, and people in sealed bomb shelters were killed from the heat and the lack of air. Ground Zero Dresden was described as ashes, like the surface of the moon. (by the noted author Kurt Vonnegut Jr., who was an eyewitness.)

What took several hundred planes hours to do to Dresden, we did to the Japanese cities with one plane each in a moment. But we would have used atomic weapons on Germany if we had had them in time.

Indeed, if we had had evidence of the concentration camps before we physically entered Germany, it would have been difficult to restrain ourselves from using atomic weapons against the German people.

So it doesn't seem that there was any significant racism involved. On the part of the Americans.
Reply:FDR received the letter written by Fermi (and others) and signed by Einstein warning what an atomic bomb could do and that Germany had an atomic program (which was headed by Heisenberg--the only Jewish scientist to not flee Germany when the Nazis took over; some say to make sure their atomic program did not succeed). FDR received this letter in the middle of 1941--i.e. before we even entered the war. One of the reasons Pearl Harbor was permitted to be bombed was so we could enter the war and make sure Germany did not develop the bomb. The Manhattan Project started at the beginning of the war in 1942. Had Germany not surrendered, our project was directed at them, not Japan. Truman had received word that the only way to get Japan to surrender was to invade. He did not want to commit to a sure loss of more casualties than had died up to that point in the Pacific theater, so Fat Man and Little Boy were dropped to shock Japan into surrender.

But, try this perspective: The US may be the only nation in history to use an atomic weapon against an enemy, but Japan is the only nation [known] to have used biological weapons on an enemy--Chinese POWs.
Reply:Well everyone seems to like to beat up on Americans. Let me remind you that the Japanese believed they were the master race. What they did in china and to the people in the islands they conquered was pure evil. Based on a racist belief the Japanese were worse. They invaded china raped and killed women and children enslaved prisoners and worked them to death. The united states stopped trading with them due to there actions in china. They then attacked us at pearl harbor. To turn that around and call us racist after the death marches in Philippines is totally offensive.
Reply:Using "the bomb" on the german forces would have killed more allies in the underground than it would have saved. We didn't have that problem w/ Japan. Besides, The firebombing raids were more effective anyway.
Reply:There's no easy 'yes' or 'no' answer to this question. While, yes, Japanese were viewed as inferior by most Americans (why else would we put Japanese American citizens in concentration camps?), Japan was the only country during WWII that actually attacked American soil. One could argue that the US had a personal grudge against Japan for Pearl Harbor and so decided to use the A-bomb on two major population centers. It was an incredible blow to morale for their country, which then helped to hasten their surrender to the US.

What many people forget is that German-American citizens were also treated very poorly during WWII. It seems that the only nationality that Americans haven't shown racism towards are white people of British decent - British meaning England, because the Irish and Scottish were both shown disdane in the US.

As far as dirty politics go and whether or not the US would have dropped the A-bomb on Germany to win the war: There were still enough voters in this country who had family in Eastern and Western Europe who would have been devastated by the A-bomb that, my guess is, the US would not have dropped the bomb on Germany. The politician who gave that go-ahead would not have stayed in office for very long.

How does Ph of soil affect plant gr0WTH ??

IM USING STATICE ASTER %26amp; PANSY SEEDS . FOR SOIL I USED SAND , POTTING SOIL, %26amp; GROUND SOIL.

I NEED HELP WHAT AM I SUPPOSED 2 DO WITH IT ?? WHAT IS MY CONCLUSION

How does Ph of soil affect plant gr0WTH ??
A little question requiring a very large answer. If this assignment is due soon, I would use radish or navy bean seeds, very quick germination. You also need to be able to check your pH, ask your teacher or buy an inexpensive kit of your own from a big box store. Sand should have a pH close to whatever your waters pH is. Potting soil should be in the range quoted by T-bone, 5.5-6.5. Garden soil will be unknown until you test. RScott
Reply:It affects the plant's ability to take up nutrients from the soil. There can be plenty of nutrients available, but if the pH isn't right then the chemistry of the plant won't work correctly. Eventually the plant will probably die. You can tell the kind of nutrient deficiency by looking at the kind of discoloration in the leaves:

Here's a link to a very good explanation:

http://www.hcs.ohio-state.edu/mg/manual/...
Reply:pH generally affects what nutrients are available to the plant. If pH is too high or low, nutrients such as iron, magnesium etc may be present in the soil, but the plant won't be able to access them. They'll be 'locked up', so to speak.

Ideal pH for most plants usually rests between 5.5 and 6.5

I don't understand your question - is this an academic project of some type?

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Give yourself a little brake and do something nice for yourself; and then you can work on getting healthy. I wish i could say more.
Reply:It seems like when one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong. They say bad luck runs in 3... I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, we don't understand at the moment why it happens, but someday we understand. turn your problems over to God, There is alot of power in prayer!!! Good luck to you!
Reply:sorry for your loss

Reply:of those the one that would concern me is the lily

true lilys (lilium species) are really pretty nasty for cats injesting even a small amount can cause acute renal failure.

other lilys such as the day lily are also poisonous.

the mechanism of the toxicity is not fully under stood, so to be safe i would get rid of the lily.

the others i think are fine
Reply:iv been told the lily is,something to do with the cats fur touching the centre of the lily, its the orange/brown thing in the middle,if it gets on fur then the cat licks it off, apparently very dangerous, ask the vets
Reply:These ones are: http://www.cfainc.org/articles/plants.ht...
Reply:i dont know which plants are poisinus to xcats but to be on the safe side you should keep all plants away from them unless you get expert advise on which plants are not poisinus
Reply:i know that if the plants are poisonous to cats

cats can feel it and they stay away from them :)
